The San Francisco Chronicle is Northern California's
largest newspaper and is distributed throughout
the west. They were founded in the mid 1800s and
grew with the city. In the 1880s they were the
largest newspaper in the west. While they didn't
hold onto that title, they do still have a large
audience, with a daily circulation of about 375,000
and a Sunday distribution of over 430,000.
